2 Weeks To Go!!!

Hey everybody,

it’s been a while but I haven’t forgotten about you all. This is literally the first opportunity I’ve had to sit down and write about what’s going on. And there’s lots going on. Anybody who makes Indie films will tell you that you have to wear many hats. Although the last few weeks since we finished our IndieGoGo campaign has been exciting, it’s also been a bit exhausting.

We had some great auditions thanks to our casting director Joanne Boreham and we’re nearly cast. I will update our cast page once we finalize everything. Other than that, we’re locking our schedule, finding the last of our locations and rehearsing. Originally we were suppose to go to camera on the 15th but we’ve pushed everything a week. Just need that extra week for all the last minute details to fall into place.

We had a great location scout the other day consisting of myself, Maya (DOP), Chris (Production Designer), and Trisha (Sound). We all really hit it off. If that’s any indication of things to come, it’s going to be good vibrations on set. We even met a pig and will be using him in the film. We’re approaching this feature like a short film. Small crew, home cooked meals, and lots on favours. The first two weeks we’ll be living out of a Winnebago, well not literally living, but it’ll act as our washroom, kitchen, actor holding, and transportation.

I can’t believe I’m struggling to think of something interesting to write about. Maybe that’s because I spend most of my days emailing. Doesn’t make for good blogging though does it? Overall, things are great and on track. I’ll keep you all posted so stay tuned.
