Picture Locked

Hey everybody,

been awhile but we’re happy to announce that the film is finally picture locked. A special thank you to our editor Michael Pierro for all his hard work since October 2014. We spent many an hour in his basement reworking scenes, eating bad food, and fending off his cat George. Being able to take our time with the edit really helped though. We were able to walk away from the film for a few weeks and return with fresh eyes, giving us the opportunity to shave it down to 88 minutes (before credits). I believe our initial rough cut was close to 2 hours. Just means more DVD extras! The film I had in mind and the film we have isn’t that different, but I’ll talk about that once the film is completely finished.

I also want to thank everybody who gave his feedback along the way. Your thoughts really brought us to where we’re at today. It’s always a bit nerve racking to show people a work in progress but the constructive feedback we got in return was well worth it.

So where do we go from here? We’ll be starting colour correct and audio design soon at Redlab. Just setting up the dates. Stay tuned for further updates on that. We’ve also started to submit to festivals. Hopefully we’ll have some great news to announce in the coming months. Our aim is to have the film done by late July. We’ll be having a cast and crew screening in August.

We’ll also be starting on a trailer. Mike and myself have a few ideas in mind. Maybe we’ll make a few different options and let you guys decide.

Stay tuned for more info!
